The British justice system needs a boot up the backside.

So the High Court in London has ruled at the cost of £200,000 of taxpayers money that the Yorkshire Ripper must spend a "whole life tariff" for the murders of thirteen women and the attempted murders of seven more, which was music to the ears of the people closely involved with his horrific crimes, and to anyone else who wants to see justice being done.

The stupid thing is, that even after all that expense to reach a sensible, and positive judgement, thanks to the idiotic legal system we have here, this vile man will be allowed to appeal again.

The first appeal should never have been allowed, never mind anymore.
This waste of space should have died the way his victims died, or at the very least, been locked away and forgotten about until he died, with no mention of his name ever coming to light again to rekindle the life long trauma his survivors, and victim's relatives go through every day.

As for the weak justice system in Scotland that I am always bring to the attention of my readers, another case of murder has appeared in our courts by a convicted murderer, given the joke, "life sentence" and released out into our streets to kill again, only two years after his release.

The term, "life sentence" was really made a mockery of by a TV reporter who stated when commenting on Scotland's latest disgrace, "this man had already served a life sentence."

Now what happened here I ask?

How could he possibly have served a "LIFE SENTENCE?"

Did this man die in jail and come back to life to kill again?

NO! This man was released by our justice system after serving just over ten years.

Why call it a LIFE SENTENCE?

Is ten years the expected life span of a man who is only forty?

That is the age "Philip Fraser" was when convicted of his first vicious murder, released to kill another victim in the same fashion as his first, two years later.

Another innocent life taken through the stupidity of idiots who think violent murderers should be given another chance to prove their worth to society, when at one time they would have been rightly executed, giving some satisfaction to the relatives of the victims and some sense of justice and relief to terrorized members of the public who are afraid to walk our streets.

This case brought the newspaper I read "The Scottish Daily Record" to mention four other such cases of "life sentenced" murderers who went on to kill again soon after they were released, a subject I am forever mentioning in this blog, plus the other violent criminals who rape or violently assault soon after being released from the ridiculously short sentences they have been given.

Have the people who reach these ludicrous decisions no sense of shame or guilt when they find out that their compassion for a killer or rapist has led to the death or brutal rape of another innocent?

I have said it before, and I will say it again.
These people are as guilty and should serve a prison sentence to.

It also brought the reporter on TV to say that the recent events might kick start the shakeup, our justice system needs.

IF ONLY!

Then of course we have the Megrahi scandal, the most prominent released murderer, with the politicians involved in his release still denying anything but compassion, was the reason for it, and quite proud of the fact that they set another convicted murderer free.

He might not kill again, but think what it is doing to the people who suffered through his crime, when they see him survive another day to relish the luxuries plied on him by his hero worshipers.

The politicians will never admit to any shady deals, but the majority of American and British people will never be happy with the disgraceful decision they took, for whatever reason, and always look on them with contempt.

They have no shame, but they have landed a nation with shame, through a deed that will not go away no matter how much they would like it to

Lets hope the American government's enquiry, brings out the truth, and the politicians get their comeuppance they so richly deserve.

Let justice reign in this country again, where it has almost all but disappeared.

The absense of justice in Scotland.

I have written many times about my disapproval of so called Scottish Justice, and if anyone had any doubt whether my disgust was justified or not here is a prime example of how ridiculous it is.

My local paper, "The Ayrshire Post" brought this story to my notice of an incident such as I have spoken about where scum has been released by do-gooders only to commit a worse crime than the ones he had been caged up for, but released long before his time was served.

A cross dressing serial pervert murdered a young woman after being released from prison THIRTEEN YEARS early.

Gavin Boyd was let out of prison just seven years into a twenty years sentence- to kill 20 year old Vikki McGrand, and to make matters worse minimum supervision was given to the highly dangerous sex offender in the weeks leading up to the murder.
He had been in Peterhead Prison (a high security prison for the most dangerous criminals) from 1999 after a terrifying sex attack on a teenager which left her scarred for life.
He had TWICE been released from a state mental hospital before he committed THAT assault, but despite his shocking record he was set FREE in 2006.
His crimes consisted from first convicted in 1977 aged 18 of theft and willful fire raising (admitted to Carstairs Mental Hospital) released nine years later and quickly committed crimes he was convicted of, for indecent assault, theft, housebreaking, breach of the peace, and breach of bail.
He was recalled to the mental hospital but the authorities released him AGAIN in 1992.
THEN in 1999 while on licence he tried to rape a 19 year old girl in her home, repeatedly hitting her with a knife.
The young woman was left disfigured as a result of the attack.

All these sick crimes committed, but he was STILL released to KILL Vikki McGrand!

When are the idiots who release these scum back into society going to learn that their way only leads to more crime with needless loss of innocent lives, and that these people need to be locked up away from decent human beings.

I have said it before, that if it were some of their family who were murdered by scum,THEY had released then they would see the error of their ways, and keep evil behind bars.
Personally if one of mine came to harm from scum that had been in prison and had been released by some idiot in power, I would want the person responsible for the scum walking the streets to serve a prison sentence too as THEY are as much to blame as the criminal.

As I say, this is a prime example of the lack of justice in Scotland, and until it is rectified we will never be safe walking our streets, or in this case even our homes.
What a sad picture of Scotland the rest of the world gets from these cases, and if the Scottish National Party had the nations interests at heart the way it professes to have then THEY should be prioritizing it as one of their main concerns instead of contributing to it by releasing convicted murderers like Megrahi when they have never proved their innocence.

It is little wonder the public have no faith in our courts when we constantly read of cases like this.

Senseless appeals allowed by Britain.

"Limbs in the Loch" murderer William Beggs loses appeal bid

Mar 9 2010

"LIMBS-in-the-loch" killer William Beggs failed today in a bid to have his conviction for murdering and dismembering a teenager overturned.

Beggs, 46, was convicted in 2001 of murdering 18-year-old Barry Wallace in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire. He was jailed for life and ordered to serve at least 20 years.

A full appeal against his conviction got under way last September, in which he argued that the trial which saw him convicted of the December 1999 killing was unfair and that he was a victim of a miscarriage of justice.

The grounds of appeal included claims that he was denied a fair hearing because of "prejudicial" publicity before and during the high-profile case.

But today three senior judges at the Appeal Court in Edinburgh ruled that his appeal against conviction should be refused.

Beggs was present in court today to hear the judges deliver their decision.

Lord Eassie, sitting with Lady Paton and Lord Philip, told him the court had "carefully considered" the arguments put forward on his behalf.

But he said: "The conclusion reached is that none of the grounds of appeal were well-founded. Accordingly, the appeal must be refused."

Beggs showed no emotion as he was led away to the cells.

This is another example of the British legal system, and how rightly convicted murderers can soft-soap their way to a day out, while making a fool of the very courts that put them in jail in the first place.

It is time the law was changed to knock the arrogance out of these prisoners who abuse the human rights laws that were made to help victims of crime rather than the criminals.

It's all to easy for scum like Beggs to lodge an appeal that has little, if any hope of being successful, and this futile attempt of Beggs should be a lesson to the old codgers in our justice system who allow this to happen, using up precious court time and taxpayers money just to pacify vermin like him.

They know only too well that their appeals will not be successful, and is only an exercise to torment the victims families, and the British public who would rather see his kind rot in Hell.

Years ago he would have been rightly hung by the neck until the life was drained out of him, saving the taxpayers a fortune, and freeing up a prison cell for less obnoxious prisoners, who commit less serious crimes and who do not take up as much time in the holiday inns that we now call prisons.

If a convict thinks he has a case, then it should be looked at, and studied by sensible lawyers who are not just in it for the money, and if it is as feeble as Beggs,as was the many others before him who have tried the same trick, then they should be rejected before it takes up court time, and ONLY if the case has a solid chance of success with definite proof of a miscarriage of justice, should it then reach the courts.

It is high time the British justice system woke up and started doing the job it was established to do, and that is to PROTECT the British public, NOT to entertain violent murderers like Beggs, who spend their free time in the prison library concocting another scheme for another away day, and who take great pleasure out of mocking a system that leaves itself wide open to ridicule.

Lord Advocate Elish Angiolini QC.

I must congratulate the Lord Advocate Elish Angiolini QC on bringing some sanity back to our justice system, and publish a copy of her recent success story printed in a news bulletin.
I have praised this lady in past posts,as it's nice to know someone in power is using that power to do some good for a change by looking after the victims of crime instead of always looking out for the criminals.
Crimes should be punished severely, which DOES act as a deterrent and the do-gooders who would rather see criminals walk the streets should spend some time with them behind bars where they belong.

Murderers to be jailed for longer
Brian Boyle and Greig Maddock
Brian Boyle and Greig Maddock both had their sentences increased

Killers could have to spend the rest of their natural lives behind bars after appeal court judges increased the minimum prison term for murder.

The judges said the 12-year minimum sentence which was often imposed in murder cases was generally too lenient.

And they said the worst killers should spend longer than 30 years in prison - the previous maximum sentence.

The judges issued the new guidelines in response to an appeal by Lord Advocate Elish Angiolini QC.

Anyone convicted of murder is given an automatic life sentence, but judges set a minimum term that must be served before the killer is able to apply for parole.

A punishment part as low as 12 years would not be appropriate unless there were strong mitigating circumstances
Scottish Courts statement

Mrs Angiolini said an appeal case in 2002 had led to an understanding that the range of minimum terms imposed by judges was a "relatively compressed scale from 12 years to 30 years".

In their ruling issued on Thursday, the appeal court judges agreed with Mrs Angiolini that 12 years was too lenient unless there were exceptional circumstances - and said minimum sentences of more than 30 years could be imposed for mass murderers.

Among the five judges who had been convened to examine the issue was Scotland's most senior judge, Lord Hamilton.

He said it would be open to a sentencing judge in a murder case "to specify a period which was in excess, even well in excess, of the offender's anticipated lifespan".

Knife crime

And he said minimum sentences of at least 16 years should be set for knife murders in order to tackle the "scourge" of knife crime.

A statement issued by the court said: "It has held that there may well be cases (for example, mass murders by terrorist action) for which a punishment part of more than 30 years may, subject to any mitigating considerations, be appropriate.

"A punishment part as low as 12 years would not be appropriate unless there were strong mitigating circumstances, and a punishment part of less than 12 years should not be set in the absence of exceptional circumstances - for example, where the offender is a child.

"Where the offender has deliberately armed himself with a knife or other sharp instrument and committed murder with it, the court would expect, other than in exceptional circumstances, the punishment part to be at least 16 years - in some cases significantly longer.

"It has endorsed a view expressed in an earlier case that where the victim is a child or a police officer acting in the execution of his duty, or where a firearm is used, a punishment part in the region of 20 years should be set."

Unduly lenient

Mrs Angiolini had also asked the appeal court to examine whether the sentences on killers Robert Kelly, Brian Boyle, and Greig Maddock had been unduly lenient.

Kelly was jailed for a minimum 15 years for strangling loan firm collector Agnes "Nessa"' Mechan, 64, and hiding her body under floorboards in the Govanhill area of Glasgow in 2002. The body was only found four years later.

Boyle and Maddock had been sentenced to 15 and 12 years respectively in 2007 after murdering father-of-two Brian Bowie by setting fire to him in Dunfermline.

The judges ruled that Kelly's minimum sentence should be increased to 19 years, and also increased the minimum sentences on Boyle and Maddock to 20 and 18 years respectively.

Paid in cash by us for serving time in jail.

GREENOCK, SCOTLAND - AUGUST 19: A general vie...Image by Getty Images via Daylife

I have been so sick to the teeth, about all the ridiculous things happening here that I did not know which one to write about. So many choices of disgusting decisions by the people we depend on to serve justice on the perpetrators of this country that always seem to end up making a laughing stock of the system which was supposedly made to protect the innocent, and punish the criminal.
Not so it seems,as we are paying out money (over two thousand pounds) to disruptive prisoners who were locked away separately from other more peaceful prisoners for the safety of the said more peaceful prisoners, and the prison officers.
We have paid out thousands of pounds to pay off prisoners who claimed their human rights were being abused because they had to slop out.
These offender knew what they were getting into when they committed their crimes, and knew what would happen to them if they were disruptive, so why are we paying them money when they should be getting punished, a punishment they knew they would get, and deserve?

We have a convicted murderer in Scotland,(Beggs, the limbs in the loch murderer) who had already killed once and through a technicality was released to kill again, which he did.
In prison for the second murder he committed he has been trying to appeal against his conviction for the ten years we have managed to keep him behind bars, but now some fool has decided to allow him to appeal, on the slight technicality of the case being made too public before it went to court.
Knowing the idiots that run our justice system (the Magrahi affair an example although there are many more) this double murderer is more than likely to be released by the system that calls itself justice.
He only wants out to kill again, and make another laughing stock of our courts,as he obviously gets as many kicks out of that as he does when he takes a life, but then again, as it is so easy to make a fool of our justice system, maybe the kicks for that are getting less, and he will kill more people this time.
The time of the courts and the money spent on this appeal should not have been wasted on this vermin, and if he does get out he might find he would have been safer in prison, because the people of this nation are so sick of what is happening here HIS life might be in danger, as a well meaning member of the public might just cut his throat, giving him the justice he deserved for the first murder he committed, not to mention the second, which would never have happened if it were not for the fools who let him go.

As for the payments to the poor wee souls in jail.
Well, they will soon be coming out with more money than they earned from the crime they committed to put them in there, and with the lenient sentences that are handed out here, it might just be worth it if we all got in on the act.

Well why should our criminals have all the fun and profit when it is us that is paying for it?

When they are looking for the answer to the question of why there is so much crime in the country, they need look no further than our stupid human rights law and the idiots that enforce it.
We are not allowed to punish mischievous children who, turn into bad teenagers, who, get sympathy rather than punishment, who turn into the murderers, and violent criminals that roam our streets waiting to be caught and make a fool of our policemen, and law lords who's hands are tied because of the human rights law.
When are we going to see sense and scrap it?

Scotlands pretentious Judicial system.

Cropped image showing detail of Scotch ThistleImage via Wikipedia

Finally we have someone of some importance, Elish Angiolini QC, the Senior Law Officer of Scotland no less, speaking out about the ludicrous sentences passed by certain judges in this country.
She agrees with what I have printed in this blog time and time again, that a life sentence should mean LIFE, and not a meagre few years for blatant murder.
How many times has the police wasted their time gathering evidence to bring a case like this to court, for an idiotic judge to a pass sentence of anything from 10 to 12 years, and call it a life sentence? This might be a life sentence if it were being passed to a ninety year old, but not to young people in their teens, up to their forties, who find themselves free to kill again, without serving a reasonable term for their horrific crime.
How many times has families stood in court to hear justice done for some member of their family who has been brutally murdered only to be let down by the idiot judge who is supposed to represent justice, but that thinks 10 years is a life sentence to a teenager?
Almost every week we hear of cases like this in the news, and nothing is ever done about it by the justice system or the government.
It is very refreshing to hear Elish Angiolini QC, speaking on behalf of these victims, so hopefully she will do something about it instead of just speaking about it.
After all, what is the point of calling it a life sentence when they have no intention of keeping them in jail until they are dead?
The judges who pass out these lenient sentences would be shocked if they realized how many people have died because they were stupid enough to pass out these lenient sentences to brutal killers who are just biding their time to get out to kill again. I have said it before and I will say it again these judges are aiding and abetting these callous killers and should be brought to book when these people kill again, as they are no different to any other worker that makes a hash of their work, and gets sacked.
For the benefit of the do-good brigade, proper life sentences have proved to deter crime in other civilized countries where more sensible decisions are made, so its time the Scottish judicial system took a tumble to itself.
Kenny McCaskill our excuse for a Justice Minister has already made an international fool of our justice system, so its about time we regained our pride, and started doing the proper thing towards the victims of this country that is SCOTLAND, and let the thistle, and the Scottish nation have reason to stand proud again!

Kenny McCaskil did not speak for the Scottish people.

Cropped image showing detail of Scotch ThistleImage via Wikipedia

I have just listened to a speech by Kenny McCaskill that will infuriate the decent citizens of Scotland.
In his elongated speech, milking his fifteen minutes of fame he mentioned Megrahi being brought to justice in 2001. He also mentioned the 27 year LIFE sentence Megrahi was supposed to serve, 27 years for 270 lives, 1 year for every 10 lives, reduced to 8 years in total, just over 10 DAYS for each life, because the excuse for justice in this country has decided to release him on compassionate grounds.
And they call that JUSTICE!
Justice for who I must ask? Certainly not the victims or their families.

The reason Megrahi's trial was held in Scotland was to see justice done, Scotland's judicial system trusted to impose a LIFE sentence on Megrahi if found guilty.
Well he was found guilty, but what an embarrassing outcome for the Scottish people.
Kenny McCaskill is a disgrace to Scotland, and the Scottish people, and the office he stands for needs gutting out with responsible people put in charge, as this decision, made on this day is typical of the miscarriages of justice handed out in our courts everyday, this being by far the worst.
Although he considered himself to be speaking on behalf of the Scottish people when he mentioned that "we pride ourselves in our humanity in Scotland" when referring to Megrahi's release, HE WAS NOT! We do pride ourselves in humanity in Scotland, but our humanity lies with the victims, and their families, not with the mass murderer Megrahi.

I hope McCaskill enjoyed his fifteen minutes plus of fame, that his unnecessary speech in trying to justify his ludicrous decision took, because the Scottish people, disgusted at this move will prove that they want nothing to do with him or his sidekicks, by getting rid of them at the first opportunity. For compassionate reasons, you'll understand, COMPASSION FOR THE SCOTTISH NATION!

Megrahi should have died in jail, and been buried in a paupers grave inside the prison grounds, which is still more compassion than he showed his victims.
We have proved by this move that we should never have been put in a position of trust, because our wrongly titled "Minister of Justice" has failed to uphold the trust put on us by releasing this mass murderer into the waiting plane of his accomplice Gaddafi.

McCaskill DID NOT speak for the Scottish people, and should never be allowed to pretend to represent us again.

We expected no less from our shambolic government, but it is no less embarrassing when our worst fears were confirmed, and I personally want to convey my apologies to the American people, and all the victims of this horrific crime, who thought they would find justice in Scotland.

The emblem we are so proud of will be wilting, as we hang our heads in shame.

Some people live behind security gates already.

Women's Prison in HeidelbergImage by Rainer Ebert via Flickr

I am going to make this short and sweet. Europe wants to give all prisoners a vote.
Why don't we just let them all out now? Think of the millions that would be saved by not having to feed them, not paying wages to guards and we could use the prison buildings for hotels as that is what they practically are anyway. Or perhaps we could use them TO KEEP US SAFE WHEN THESE NUTTERS ARE LET OUT! Let the minority of the idiots that think these scum should be taken by the hand instead of being punished wander the streets at night when they are allowed to roam free and see how long the world would survive in their disillusioned idea of life.
It is coming to be that these idiots who are always ranting on about human rights for prisoners are going to succeed in creating a situation where the only need for prisons will be for the honest people of the world to seek refuge behind bars and security walls with C.C.T.V. cameras.
Some places in the world already have decent citizens living behind security gates in their normal houses so think on all you do-gooders because that is the future YOU are bound for if you continue on your stupid quest.

prevent criminals profiteering

Jail cell in the Brecksville Police Department...Image via Wikipedia

Now they are trying to rush a law through for a time bar on criminals claiming against slopping out why don't they go the whole hog and rush one through to prevent criminals profiteering from an E.U. ruling they should have no right to.

This action proves the laws can be changed so there is no excuse for allowing our money to be wasted on this scum.

I have said time and time again they are in prison to be punished and should be made to accept their punishment with no rights whatsoever to the much abused human rights law.

death by driving errors

The case of the Portuguese lorry driver who through his reckless attitude behind the wheel of such a heavy vehicle, causing the death of six members of the one family and will only serve eighteen months of his allotted three years makes another mockery of our already disgraceful legal system. The close relative who gave an interview summed up the decision when he said "they knew it was not possible to get justice in a British court." "It was like a circus in there " and we all know how many clowns there are in the British legal system. How many times is this going to happen? Is our courts never going to hand out the justice the criminals deserve, and if this is allowed to continue will there be any need for prisons in the future?
The P.C. brigade and the do gooders have a lot to answer for and if this is a sign of things to come then pity help us AND the idiots at the root of the problem because they too will eventually suffer along with the rest of us and its only THEN that they will come to regret their stupid sympathy for despicable criminals!
