The Bankers fury.

So the bank bosses are furious that the Chancellor, George Osborne is going to take an
additional £800million levy off them, making it two and a half billion pounds
per annam long term.
Not nearly as angry as the British public were when their money was handed over
willy-nilly by the government to the so called Mega banks when we bailed them
out of the hole they dug for themselves leaving us with a large deficit to
clear, and them in clover reaping disgusting bonuses.
Now they are taking the huff like babies because the government is trying to
rectify the fact that they are not paying back their debt to us quickly enough.
They are threatening to pull out of talks with the government about Project
Merlin, talks that concern their pay, bonuses and the way the banks are lending.
Until they pay back all of their debts to us, they work for us and should be
forced by the government to tow the line and do what they are told.
If they want to leave their job or take their banks elsewhere, do so once they
can call the banks their own again.
They are only Mega banks nowadays thanks to the taxpayers.

Bankers bonus debate.

The Royal Bank of Scotland plc Banca Rìoghail ...Image via Wikipedia

The Royal Bank of Scotland board of directors are threatening to quit if they are not allowed to set their ridiculous bonuses, as they are under the illusion that they have been successful enough to earn millions of pounds over and above the high wages they already earn.
I doubt very much if the taxpayers will agree with them, because as we all know they still owe us billions of pounds, and until that is paid back in full they cannot claim success.

If anyone is entitled to bonuses this year it's the taxpayers of whom without THEM the banks would not exist.

Let the board of directors quit, and forfeit their ludicrous pensions plus any bonus they might be entitled to, and see if they will continue with their threat, because there are plenty people out there who have been sacked from the banking world this year who are just as, or even more capable of running the banking system, and would be only too eager to take the jobs vacated by these chancers, possibly for less money too.

If the treasury allow themselves to be conned by the directors then they are only confirming how useless this government has become, and they should end up in the scrapheap along with the bank directors who's greed and incapability's led to this recession.

If bonuses must be paid ever again they should be within a sensible limit, and not be allowed to rise to the extortionate levels of the past.

That controversial pension

The Royal Bank of Scotland Plc Banca Rìoghail ...Image via Wikipedia

I was hoping that I wouldn't have to write about this subject again but as it keeps coming up I feel the anger rise once more.
I fear, I my be repeating myself but in any other occupation if you fail or misbehave, resulting in the sack you forfeit any pension accumulated throughout your working life which is a harsh but deserved punishment. Sir Fred Goodwin has not only ruined the Royal Bank of Scotland he has also ruined the lives of hard working people who saved for a WELL DESERVED pension and now with interest rates at an all time low face financial disaster as they watch their savings disappear.
It is little wonder that 100% of the population do not want Sir Fred Goodwin to receive his £650,000 a year pension made up from their taxes.
If the taxpayer have not baled out the bank and helped to clear up the mess he left there would be no money for his pension anyway. Other people's shares disappeared and they are now left with nothing so we have to ask again. WHY IF EVERYONE INCLUDING GOVERNMENT MINISTERS ARE AGAINST THIS IS IT STILL GOING AHEAD.
There was no new contract agreed with us and as the main shareholders our wishes should be adhered to. Let him sue if he wishes he hasn't got a leg to stand on. (If the public had their way that could be literally).
As this arrogant tube is a buddy of Gordon Brown are we just being led up the garden path again?
