On the anniversary of Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al-Megrahi's release from a Scottish prison having been the only person to be convicted of the Lockerbie bombing and given a life sentence, I would like to take the time to congratulate Alex Salmond and Kenny MacAskill on their allegiance to Libya and terrorism everywhere.
Their kind gesture will assure a welcome in the hillside if they ever visit Tripoli but I would very much doubt if they will ever get one in America, and they certainly do not deserve one in Scotland either.
Megrahi's compassionate release on the grounds that he had only three months to live must be a real comfort to all the people who suffered through his atrocity. Now that we are being told he could live for anything up to seven years or beyond, will not only make them overjoyed at every day of freedom he now enjoys in luxury, but will also give encouragement to all the other despicable murderers in Scottish jails who, having been given deserved LIFE sentences will now be looking forward to walking our streets sometime soon with the opportunity to KILL again.
Convicted killers who have been given LIFE sentences should never be released under any circumstances and should most definitely die in jail, or why bother to call it a life sentence?
MacAskill is supposed to be the Scottish Minister for Justice and Alex Salmon is supposed to act on behalf of the Scottish people. MacAsill has failed to provide any justice here, and is an affront to Scotland, while his sidekick Salmond who backs him all the way, should stop trying to con the sensible people of Scotland into thinking he has our interests at heart, because after the Megrahi affair he has proved that the only interests he has at heart is himself and the criminal element of the world.
In releasing Megrahi they have committed a crime and should be given community service as a punishment,then be taken out of politics altogether and put somewhere where they can do no more harm.
It really infuriates me when I see these two blatantly proud of their actions and trying to include the people of Scotland as agreeing to it.
The people of Scotland are SICK AND TIRED of the leniency given to criminals here and the majority are disgusted every time we see or hear this pair on the TV, spouting their approval of this killers release.
They have no shame or they would have resigned long ago, instead they sit there stubbornly in office, being paid by the taxpayers who would gladly see the back of them.
If anyone out there doubts my words, it won't be long until I am proved correct at the looming elections.
If anyone was ever in any doubt about the disgust of the Americans over Megrahi being released on farcical, compassionate grounds, then these doubters should now think again.
The senators in America are asking for an enquiry into why he was released, supposedly having only three months to live, and now, after almost a year, we are being told he could live for anything from ten to twenty years yet.
If the American people were not bothered any more about this farce then they would not want to spend time and money on a case they couldn't care less about.
The whole thing was a farce right from the beginning, as it took more than one man to carry out the Lockerbie bombing, which means there are plenty others who got off scot-free, with Megrahi being made the fall guy for them.
This should never have meant that he got released without proving his innocence,as a life sentence should mean life, and he was found guilty of 270 murders thanks to his part in bringing down the Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie with a bomb.
He refused his chance to prove if he was innocent or not, and in the eyes of the law he is guilty, and should have ended his life in prison, not that his prison cell was any hardship.
270 lives taken and not one bit of consideration for the victims or their families, no one ever paying the price for these deaths, other than the loved ones left behind who had to try and pick up the pieces of their ruined lives, ruined by the unscrupulous politics of a minority of people who, rather than live in peace, would rather terrorize the worlds peace loving population for their own greedy gain, or revenge.
Politics was at the root of it all, and anyone involved in this atrocity should hang their heads in shame,be it for their part in the bombing, or their part of the farcical justice, but instead we have hypocritical visits by politicians to the memorials erected to the dead, where they pretend to care.
This is the world we live in now, and these are the disgusting people who have infiltrated our governments, with no shame or conviction of what real justice should be. Never before has the phrase "THE LAW IS AN ASS" been so appropriate.
I wrote months ago of my anger at the Scottish National Party being mostly responsible for the release of the convicted mass murderer Aboelbaset Ali Mohmed Al-Megrahi, or the "Lockerbie bomber" in case any of you are in any doubt of who this killer is, so I thought I would update you on the situation since it is at least six months since his date of release on the grounds of having only THREE months to live.
I came across this piece when I googled his name and much to my disgust, and anyone else who has taken the same interest, I found, just as I thought would happen at the time of his release, that he is living a life of luxury, instead of rotting behind bars where he should have finished the life sentences handed out to him after his trial, and upheld after his feeble appeal.
I said at the time that the SNP would suffer at the elections, and suffer they did, and if there was any doubt in their minds that the Scottish people strongly disapproved of this deed, it will become even clearer at the elections next year once the votes have been counted to decide the Scottish Parliament.
Labour, in my mind had their input to this travesty of justice too, and was a factor in their defeat at the polls, but even so, the downfall of these two parties will be no consolation to the bereaved, especially when they read the progress report of the convicted mass murderer in the story below.
I hope all persons responsible for this disgrace will feel some kind of remorse, and as each day this slaughterer of innocent lives survives over his THREE months, they feel more and more a wrench of the guilt that should be burning inside them.
Then again, as we all know, Politicians HAVE no guilt, or Megrahi would not be living a life of luxury, and being treated as a hero in Lybia now.
Lets hope the likes of Kenny MacAskill, the "EX" Minister of Justice for Scotland and his buddies are never allowed to disgrace the Scottish Nation in this way again and will be stuck in the shadows of the back benches where they belong, keeping their heads and opinions as low as their morals are.

Lockerbie bomber Megrahi living in luxury villa six months after being at 'death's door' The man convicted of the Lockerbie bombing is living with his family in a luxury villa in Libya six months after he was released from jail on compassionate grounds because he had less than three months to live.

Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi, who is suffering from terminal prostate cancer, no longer receives hospital treatment after ending the course of chemotherapy that he had been given after returning to his homeland last August.
Professor Karol Sikora, the London-based doctor who examined Megrahi and predicted he would be dead by last October, admitted this weekend that the fact the bomber is still alive might be "difficult" for the families of the 270 victims of the attack.
The latest disclosure will incense many of the relatives of those who died in the bomb blast in December 1988 when Pan Am Flight 103 exploded in mid air over Lockerbie, Scotland, killing 243 passengers, 16 crew and 11 people on the ground.
Most did not want Megrahi released and they suspected he would live longer than the predicted three months.
The Sunday Telegraph revealed last September that the Libyan government had paid for the medical evidence which helped Megrahi, 57, to be released. The Libyans had encouraged doctors to say he had only three months to live.
The life expectancy of Megrahi was crucial because, under Scottish rules, prisoners can be freed on compassionate grounds only if they are considered to have this amount of time, or less, to live.
Kenny MacAskill, the Scottish Justice Secretary, ruled last August that Megrahi should be freed. Megrahi's release came after Libyan leaders warned that lucrative oil and trade deals with Britain would be cancelled if the bomber died in jail.
One leading prostate cancer specialist cast serious doubt yesterday on the wisdom of predicting that Megrahi had only three months to live – when a patient still had to undergo chemotherapy. Dr Chris Parker said it was extremely difficult to give an accurate prognosis for individual patients. "Studies show experts are very poor at trying to predict how long an individual patient will live for," he warned.
Megrahi received the chemotherapy drug Docetaxel – trade name Taxotere – shortly after returning to Libya.
Dr Parker, who is with the Institute of Cancer Research and the Royal Marsden Hospital, said: "The average prognosis for survival after Docetaxel would be 12 months.
"It can vary enormously but it would be very unusual to live beyond two years."
Doctors in Libya supply monthly medical reports to Scottish authorities who can speak to Megrahi whenever they want. The conditions of his early release stipulate he must not leave Libya.
Megrahi, is now living in a spacious two-storey villa with his wife and their five grown-up children in a prosperous suburb of Tripoli, the Libyan capital.
The property has a spacious garden and an area where the family erects a large tent to entertain visitors for celebrations.
The property has a security gate and there is often a uniformed police officer sitting on a white chair outside.
The Megrahis, who are part of a prominent tribe, are well off and it is understood that his family was paid substantial compensation by the Libyan Government after he was jailed for life.
They are known to have urged Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, the Libyan leader, to get Megrahi, a former Libyan intelligence agent, freed from his jail.
Prof Sikora, one of the examining doctors who was paid a consultancy fee last July to examine Megrahi, told The Sunday Telegraph this weekend: "My information from Tripoli is that it's not going to be long [before Megrahi dies].
"They stopped any active treatment in December and he has just been going downhill very slowly at home. He is on high doses of morphine [a painkiller] and it's any day now."
Prof Sikora said that he suspected that Megrahi was still alive because he had received a "psychological" boost from returning to his homeland and being reunited with his family.
"It's stimulated him to have a remarkable [short-term] recovery," he said. "It's difficult. The choice offered by the letter of the law was either three months to live, or nothing. You couldn't have a sliding scale."
Some prostate cancer patients have lived for years longer that their doctors predicted.
Prof Sikora said it was just possible that Megrahi would be alive in several years time but added: "It's highly unlikely. There is a 90 per cent chance he will die in the next few weeks.
"He is relatively young and has very aggressive, fast-moving disease."
Megrahi has always denied any involvement in the Lockerbie bombing. He withdrew his second appeal against conviction just two days before he was allowed to return to Libya.
Those close to him say he did so reluctantly because he was convinced it would improve his chances of being freed from a Scottish jail.
Megrahi could have been released on compassionate grounds without dropping his appeal – but he could not have been freed under a prisoner exchange programme if legal action was ongoing.
Until the last moment, the authorities made it clear they were considering both options.
Professor Sikora had a message to the relatives of the Lockerbie tragedy who are angered by Megrahi's release: "The quality of his life is not good – he is a dying man.
"Quite frankly, as an act of mercy, it is better that he dies at home rather than in prison."
However, one source involved in monitoring Megrahi's health suggested the bomber's condition has got no worse in the past six months.
The source said: "Megrahi is still the same as ever. His condition has not deteriorated. There is no sign of him dying any time yet but who knows? It's totally unpredictable."

The term "LIFE SENTENCE" should be taken out of the British justice system, as it no longer has any meaning.
It seems to be in this country that no matter how many life sentences are handed out to a mass murderer they still ignore the term LIFE SENTENCE and release prisoners with the excuse that they deserve some human rights so we will let them home to spend their last days with their family.
That attitude makes a mockery of US, our judicial system, our country and the idiots who are left to make these hypocritical decisions. I strongly use the term "Hypocritical" because releasing a prisoner under any circumstances, who has been given a life sentence, is nothing short of, showing a lack of intelligence within themselves, and a distinct lack of respect for the victims of the crimes, and a complete misuse of the term "LIFE SENTENCE."
Kenny MacAskill, has brought shame and embarrassment, not only to himself but to Scotland, by being taken in by the pleas of Abdelbaset AL-Megrahi's family and countrymen to gain his release through ill health, claiming he had only three months to live, while six months later he is pictured in the newspapers looking healthier than he did on his release.
He was convicted of the Lockerbie disaster, a conviction that cost a fortune using up thousands of hours of manpower to bring him to "JUSTICE," using up hours in the courts with the original trial, and more than one appeal, where at the end of it all one idiot feels sorry for him and releases him.
MacAskill takes full responsibility for his release although we all know he was pressured into making the ludicrous decision, but then again we all know Megrahi was used as a fall guy for the bombing when others were involved too, but both men were willing to accept full responsibility for their deeds,so both men should be willing to accept their punishment. Megrahi is showing no shame or remorse for his involvement in the bombing by parading around and being treated like a hero. MacAskill is showing no remorse on releasing the convicted mass murderer, announcing he remains defiant his decision was right, which shows disdain towards the relatives of the victims.
Where does MacAskill's punishment come in, if you can call it that, but then again you cannot call Megrahi's jail term punishment for his crime.
I can only hope that in the coming elections, the people of Scotland stand defiant and vote out MacAskill and his Scottish National Party, who so nearly made it, but who by standing by MacAskill's decision has also brought shame on the country they are supposed to hold dear.
If the Megrahi incident, and the recent scandalous releases of other murderers and criminals who have re-committed crimes soon after their release, is an example of how the leaders of Scotland want to take this ONCE proud nation forward, then I among many here want no part of it.
A party with policies that favour criminals, and the police chief who thinks some criminals should not be in prison, because, on their release they re-offend immediately, are burying their heads in the sand, not facing up to the fact that these criminals are being treated far too leniently by our courts, and in prison, that is why they have no fear.
As long as parties in power, and their members like MacAskill, plus our disillusioned judges take this attitude our justice system will never hold any fear for the criminals, and it will always be a laughing stock in the eyes of the world, bringing shame on all of us.
The Labour party, although having no real agenda when campaigning here, have no need to alter their manifesto when their opposition very obligingly cuts their own throats.
Pity help the innocents of the nation when this is all the choice we have to decide who is going to run the country. If only ONE party would take a firm stand against crime it would make our choice so much easier and THEN we could feel safer when walking the streets, and maybe bring some pride honour, and respect back to our country.
The pride, honour and respect, MacAskill took away with one senseless decision, and our courts take away on a daily basis.
Every move Gadaffi is making now is just adding more insult to injury, to the victims of the Lockerbie bombing. A hero's welcome for Megrahi, and now all this farce in America. Its only just over twenty years ago in 1986 that the American air force bombed the place where Gaddaffi was staying with the intention of killing him, but when the task failed he appeared to change his ways, until the Lockerbie bombing occurred, now he is to address the United Nations IN America. This and the release of Megrahi to a hero's welcome is a kick in the teeth for everyone of the victims of the bombing, but then again its usually someone close to you that does the kicking, or it comes from the least unexpected source, so what else should we expect in the kind of world we live in now? The problem is, we elect these people to carry out our wishes, and once they are in, our wishes are ignored. It might come as a surprise to some folk,but the majority of the world are shocked and disappointed at these events,even though our politicians are not, whether they like to admit it or not. They can ignore the public outcry, and horror, but what they should remember is, THE PEOPLE HAVE THE FINAL SAY,so they should not be surprised when their anger is shown at the elections. Obama had to go through the affront of Gadaffi speaking after him, and although these talks are supposed to include world peace, it must have been difficult for him knowing the feelings of his nation.
Gadaffi was welcomed by the other world leaders, isn't it amazing how easily you are welcomed back into the fold when your country has an abundance of oil, as other sources begin to dwindle. Wealth can corrupt, but you expect loyalty from your elected leaders, oil or no oil, and the feelings of the America people on Gadaffi should have been taken into consideration by our leaders, also if Gadaffi was the good guy he is now trying to portray, he should have had the decency to give this one a miss, then we MIGHT begin to believe he is ready to comform.
The picture shown seems to be appropriate as it might bring back the memories of the atrocity brought about by the Lybian leaders crime.

It seems to be forgotten in the mayhem of this debate just how evil the Gaddafi regime was before America went after him, narrowly missing the chance to eliminate him by bombing a residence of his where he was thought to be staying at the time. Unfortunately he survived,and his stepdaughter Hannah was killed, but I have always thought they must have been very close to accomplishing their task, as since then he has changed his tune by trying to appease the western world, instead of trying to raise other African, and middle eastern countries against us.
It was only four years before the Lockerbie bombing in 1984 that police constable Yvonne Fletcher was shot and killed outside the Libyan Embassy by a shot from within, while a protest against the Libyan, Gaddafi regime took place outside. The murderer got away scot free by claiming diplomatic immunity and all diplomats involved were repatriated, with the parents of Yvonne Fletcher never knowing who killed their daughter, never mind seeing them brought to justice.
Two years later in 1986 America and Libya clashed with several bombing attacks from both sides, mainly because Gaddafi, or "MAD DOG" as he was known then tried to expand his regime beyone the boundaries of Libya by trying to cause more unrest in the middle east, or in other words he was getting too big for his boots. This failed thanks to America's near miss on this evil mans life.
It took that near miss to prevent this mad dog from starting a war that could have escalated world wide, although the terrorism he was involved with still exsist today in the form of several Muslim movements, that are still a threat to world peace.
All these facts have to be considered when speaking of the Lockerbie bombing, and taking them into consideration it becomes clearer of the involvement this terrorist state had in this mass murder.
By the time it became clear that Libyans were involved, Gaddafi had changed his ways,so now you have to realize, that to suit both the British government, who wanted an oil deal (BP being the company involved with that) AND to suit the by now subdued Libyan regime who wanted trade sanctions lifted, which would suit both governments, "Megrahi the pawn" came into play.
I am only surmising, but a very logical supposition when all the facts that are now unravelling are brought to bare. Tony Blair was the Prime Minister of Britain when it was agreed that Gaddafi would hand over just one man "Megrahi" who was involved in the slaughter, and would take the rap, so to speak, for all of the members of the regime that was involved in this mass murder, on the condition that he would be released as soon as was thought to be a time when things had quietened down enough to get him home without too much commotion or unrest among the victims of the said slaughter.
An illness feigned or otherwise, came to the rescue of the predicament the government found theirselves in, and low and behold Megrahi was released and sent home......... to a heros welcome.
Not realizing the uproar this was going to cause McCaskill took the rap for this decision, a decision that I think was made from the very beginning of this farce, by Blair. It was never intended that the pawn Megrahi would spend much time in a British jail, hence the reason he was handed over so readily.
Now because of public outrage the politicians are jumping on the bandwagon, trying to blame the SNP only, but might be unaware that their own party might have had more to do with this outrage than they realized.
The vote in the Scottish parliament went as we expected with all parties voting against the decision of the SNP government, echoing the majority of the Scottish nation, but where the Scottish nation are concerned, they knew it was an injustice, whereas the MPs and MSPs are only out for political recognition. All of whom would have shoved it all under the table if it had not been for the public outcry of such a despicable decision. McCaskill had no right to say he was speaking on behalf of the Scottish nation, nor has Alex Salmond any right to say THEY are the government and they will have many a difficult decision to make, because after this nonsense the only decision he will have to make is where would be the best place to hide his face.
Although Blair may have done a deal at the time, a deal Gordon Brown would have known about, the final decision WAS made by an SNP government, and a government who's reign is going to be short lived thanks to this decision. Of course Brown and McCaskill deny all accusations of a deal, but it is a known fact that politicians lie, so much so it comes as second nature to them, and they don't bat an eye as they stand in front of the media protesting their innocence.
All this falls neatly into the hands of the future government of Britain which none of the contenders ever wanted the SNP running Scotland in the first place, as a united Britain is more profitable to them than an independant Scotland.
Sadly the SNP fell into the trap, fell at the first hurdle, and deserve to go back into the shadows for a very long time.
The newspapers might not be allowed to print this, but it is as near to the truth as you are going to get, so lets hope lots of people get the chance to read my version which IS echoed by the majority of Scotland.
Staying on the subject of my last post, I have to wonder what kind of deal was made with Colonel Gaddafi of Libya, when we only accepted one person in the shady deal that was made, as it was obvious to the rest of the world, THEN and NOW that more than one person was involved. More should have been done at the time to root out the perpetrators who carried out this vile attack on innocent people, and by handing over one person Gaddafi was admitting his part in the bombing, therefore more action should have been taken against HIM and his regime, instead of settling for this one feeble gesture.
It is like everything else in this world nowadays, be seen to be doing something to appease the victim's nearest and dearest, while all the time thinking of the easiest solution to the problem. Lets not fill our jails to over capacity, lets not pursue the matter any further, lets go easy on the criminals, they will learn from their mistakes. WHAT A LAUGH!
A laugh for the criminals, as all these solutions cause is mayhem, when time, and taxpayers money are used to listen to their appeals and gripes, as they take us to the cleaners, backed up by a stupid "law of human rights" thought up by some bunch of fools who never went far enough into the pitfalls this law would create.
The law is so much on the side of the criminals now, that all the authorities can do is, pretend to be seen carrying out justice, when all the time its just a stab at appeasing the public.
The public are no fools, and people power is coming more to the fore every day, so the idiots whose voices are being heard now will soon be shot down in flames as sanity will be restored before this sad world becomes any worse.
The world knows the Libyan regime was responsible for the Lockerbie bombing, not just one man, but as that one man was sacrificed as a feeble appeasement, the politicians who agreed to the shady deal, and the politicians of the future, should learn from these mistakes, and realise the easy way out they think they are taking only leads to bigger problems in the future.
The atrocity of the Lockerbie bombing will never fade from the memories of the families of the victims or anyone involved in the recovery of the debris and the bodies so badly mutilated by this despicable act. Ali Mohammed Al-Megrahi the man convicted of this deed certainly has no intention of ever letting them forget or have any compassion for THEM with his constant battle to gain his release from prison. Ever since his conviction he has constantly been in the news by pleading his innocence or through his health etc. Why is this allowed to continue when at the time, he was handed over by Gaddafi as one of the assassins and enough evidence was produced to find him guilty? Nothing has changed and after two appeals, nothing has come to light to warrant any more time or money being wasted on him. If the victims, who suffered and whose lives were prematurely cut short could speak for themselves I am sure THEY would have no compassion for him and would want him to rot and die in prison. One of the victims mother on being interviewed, said she does not want him to be released under any circumstances and even if she was the only relative to think that way from the 270 victims, her wishes should be granted. Life for any murder should mean life and the slaughter of so many in this case should have meant locking up this evil killer and shutting him away from the rest of the world with no sympathy or compassion shown, allowing the greaving relitives to feel at least SOME justice had been achieved. Have they not suffered enough without greedy lawyers renewing their pain each time another appeal is launched? Let Megrahi die in prison and don't even think about another appeal if this one fails, he is getting what he deserves, just ask the general public, and let the relatives relax in the knowledge that he will never be released under any circumstance.
